Mass destruction!

Hey guys, this is what I found when I pulled my 160K+ 2.0 apart after my girlfriend dropped a valve at 90MPH....

This is very nice.. http://aircooledtechnology.com/jake/914/lost-valve.html

I'll have the 2270 ready to drop in in just a few weeks..

Wow I thought dropping one pulling away from a stop light was pretty bad...

Did she describe the sound?

Ya,.. I bet she pulled right over. After downshifting and free reving the poor thing trying to clear up the vibration! Maybe she's not like my wife. She lost all the oil after cracking the pan on my BMW 533I and drove the car with the oil level light on for about 20 miles. When she pulled into the shop the car sounded like someone dragging a garbage can full of cement blocks through a gravel pit. I feel for you man..

P.S. Mine still didn't look that bad

Interesting to see what 160K of carbonization looks like on the head.
