Door panel covering

I am getting ready to recover my door panels on my 76 Porsche 911. This will be my first attempt and before I start I am seeking advice on what would be the best way to attaché the new skins to the panels! I bought new panels new vinyl skins. Does anyone have pictures or video on the proper way to install the new skins, like, are they glued on or just stapled on along the edges of the back side of the panels? I would sure hate to mess up some new materials! I am new at this and would appreciate opinions and advice.
