Help posting pictures

A friend scanned several pictures of my 73' into his computer and then e-mailed 'em to me. (I don't have a digital camera or scanner) They open up great, and I have them saved as "My Document " files. My problem is I don't know how or what to attach them to to post them here. I'd like to share some shots of your "Wisconsin Cousin" but am a little too much computer challenged . Any help would be appriciated.

When you open the window to post a message scroll down & look where it says Attach file. Put your cursor in the window that says Browse and click it. From there you can go to where you have your pics saved. Double Click on that pic and information of where it is in your computer will be sent into this browse window. Then, all you need to do is click on the submit reply button.

NOW, before you do this you must make sure the pics are no bigger than 640 x 480 or 65,000 bytes. 9Fourteen mentioned a program that you can download that will resize your pics so you can post them. Go to Download.com and look for Irfanview. Download it and follow their instructions for use. Ya gotta play with it to learn it... just like our cars! Hope this helps.

Bruce, thanks a ton for the help! I didn't scroll down far enough to see the attach file button - duh. Is there a way to know what size my pics are? I'm gonna try and post one and see if I get fired from the BBS for being stupid or something. Here's my chariot at Road America this past July. I hope this works!

Nope, I "attempted to upload an invalid attachment". - Busted by the Pic Post Police!

I was not able to download the Irfanview program you suggested. Something about not finding a plugin or something. Although there was a program I could download for $30.00. How convienient! I'll figure this out somehow. Thanks again for the advice.
