Mystery wire
I was poking around in the engine compartment when I came upon a wire not connected to anything. I followed it to where it exited the rear of the compartment through a grommet. I crawled under the car and continued to follow the wire until it ended attached to the solenoid of the starter. The starter seems to work OK so where should this wire be attached to on the other end? It is the smallest diameter wire attached to the solenoid, if that helps.

Let me guess, it ends near the battery ??
I see this quite frequently when somebody has a hot start problem. Instead of crawling under the car to "jump" the starter, you can use that wire. I dont recall seeing it on that car, but doesnt surprise me. B |

That would explain why it was just bare wire on the end instead of some type of connector. It sure didn't look German. Thanks Brad.

I was going to guess it was the connector for the rocket booster engine output transformer solenoid super power device, but Brad's idea seems right
