dual electric engine fans

I have seen a company that makes fiberglass body parts and a dual electric engine fan for 914 type IV motors. Used to have the site bookmarked , but my computer crashed. Does anyone know this company?

I was looking at that setup and wondering how electricity gets made? Might be for track cars with a batt only system?

the aircooled classics horizontal fan was race use only. looks good though.

a continuous/steady flow of air would not be good for street use. i think varying the amount of air as a fuction of engine speed is important for longevity of the motor. to cool is bad for the engine.

Thumbs up

Hey guys,
Thanks for the input. The Fiberworks Products page is the one I was looking for. You've also brought up some interesting considerations about this application.
Thanks Again!

Anybody buy that setup from FiberW ??

I like it. I'm pretty sure Nissan 300ZX's have a variable fan that adjusts to the needs of the engine through the computer.

You could totally set it up to run with RPM.

We used a squirrel cage setup on the drag bugs.. but they where only turned on after the 1/4 mile run to cool the engine before the next round.

I guess one question is; does the fan speed change as a function of temp or do they just turn on/off at a certain set point? I'd think that if they just turn on/off, it'd make sense to run them off a temp switch with an appropriate set point/hysteresis, than somehow running them as a function of engine R'sPM.
