Dipstick tube

I need to replace the dipstick tube in my 73 2.0L. The original was broken off. Can anyone tell me how far to stick it in or out???

There was a question about this same thing a while ago, either on this site or the 914 Fan site at On the Fan site look in the forums and try a reload of the Pelican 914 forum, but pick "all" posts, not just the default 45 days or what ever it is. I think it covered the dip stick length, etc.
