Git Together

OK, a plan.
If there is any interest in such an event, I intend to have an "Open Shop" at my place on either Dec 28 or 29.

Now this don't mean ya'll just wander in and take home what ya want....this here would be a social event where you can try out your latest line of BS on fellow 914 enthusiasts & maybe a few 9eleben types ( so's we have someone to browbeat.)

ulf is all tore up so you can poke at it and offer *constructive* criticism.

Maybe a tech session on shop first aid, effective pain relief thru cussin', how to draw your eyebrows on after a Weber tuning session..... you know, usefull stuff.

Food & beverages will be provided iff'n you bring some......OK,OK....I'll supply beer....but no cups.

Lemmeno if you're interested.

Bruce Allert 12-14-2002 07:32 AM

Hey JP, sounds great. Are you aware of DD's & possibly BA's coming to town then? Would be nice to have them there too. They posted on the PNW 914 Yahoo site. I'd bring some Fat Tire Ale........

boxstr 12-14-2002 08:09 AM

JP Which day and what time??Lets kind of get it narrowed down a bit. Is this a sanctioned meeting of the PNW914SSR?

Bleyseng 12-14-2002 08:30 AM

I can be there too maybe a combined club event with WA914Club. (1st event in 3 years)
Lets not have it too early in the morning so I can drive down.
I'll bring some rust if anyone wants it...

Do I have to leave my backpack checked at the door?

I was just informed of the tenative plans for a PNW914 event on that weekend. I would offer my digs as a meeting site. The rules committee is gonna have to ....ah...rule on this.

What is the Yahoo addy for that site? I lost it.

BA? No s***? Maybe I can get him to autograph my copy of his book. I could wipe the grease & stuff off a page.

brain009 12-14-2002 10:04 AM

Here's the addy: Pacific NW 914 Yahoo site
*Note: It's kinda a pain in the arse to set up those Yahoo accounts.
BTW, I think that Bruce meant to say Brad Robert's might possibly be there.

Bruce Allert 12-14-2002 10:14 AM

yup... my mistake I meant Brad Roberts. Was think'n of my initials at the time. Can't do 2 things at once. Must'a been chewing gum...:p

sacook 12-14-2002 12:46 PM

chrisreale 12-14-2002 12:48 PM

korijo 12-14-2002 01:59 PM

Can I get my name on the list? hehehe So JP, is it going to happen before or after the PNW 914 meetin'?
Later..

Dave at Pelican Parts 12-14-2002 02:54 PM

Hmm, this could be a lot of fun! PacNW914 field trip to JP's! We can wander over to someplace to get fed in your area, or head back to Portland and hit a McMennamin's. Worth thinking about...

I think Dave has the answer. JP's first, then to a pub for those who are old enough (and have the stamina). Now if the old guy will just set a date & time!

I dropped this on the wife.....she never blinked an eye and said
"Lemmeno when and I'll make some goodies". OK, so now I'm doing food...youz guys bring your own beverages. Fair enuff?

She's been a "keeper" for bout 30 years now.:D

As far as I'm concerned, that was the last hurdle.
I think Saturday is a better day....that would be the 28th, if I read this thing with dates on it correctly. Say about noonish till I throw ya out or fall asleep.....wait...me sleep with all them loose parts laying around. I need a plan.

The house is easy to find. I'll get cookin' on some directions from both North and South.

Send me some mail (has9146@attbi.com) so's I can get a rough estimate on the groceries & give it to the wife.

No BA.....maybe Brad will autograph the book....the kid is gonna be famous some day.....an internationaly known Ahole, I figure.:D

Jim Chambers 12-15-2002 08:20 AM

J P Stein 12-15-2002 08:25 AM
