In Seattle for the holidays

I'm in Seattle (Lake Samamish area) for the next 9 days, and may a 914 fix..

The weather is actually nicer here than it was when I left LaLa Land, California this morning.

Anybody out there want to get together for a beer, or an afternoon of spirited driving? Or maybe just rent/loan me a teener for the week...HA...LOL...

post here, I'll check back...

If you're willing to drive south-ward, see the "Git Together" thread posted by JP. (It'll be the first one on the list.) It's in Vancouver WA on the 28th. Should be quite a few people showing up there.

That Git Together sounds cool. I was ignoring the post last week because I knew it was up North somewhere. Well, hey now, here I am up North somewhere. I'll see if I can't work that out with the Wife.

John - My buddy Chuck Null is on your list for flares. I turned him on to the post a while back because I'm installing a 3.2 into his '73 914. I'd love to come over and see the work in progress.
I'll e-mail you as soon as I figure out the "Schedule" is.

Chris - I see J-lo's butt alot, when take my glasses off.

Happy Holidays everyone,
Mike D.

Check back later, coffee time

Hey Craig, no Fuchs...I think Leamon may be keeping them, he is getting a new floor pan and flares on his 914-6 right now. I was hoping you would respond, but for some reason I thought you were farther north. Unfortunatly there is a family affair on Sat. no way out of it. Oh well.

I think I'll take John K. up on that invite to see the W.I.P. 914.

You can go over to Redmond European today (Monday) or Thursday. They should be putting the 3.0 in my steel flared 6 (9.1:1, E cams, 40 mm Webers, Paul Guard Torsen...). I hope to pick it up Thur or Friday depending upon how it goes. They are closed Tues and Wed. Ask for Monty. They are in a complex which is on the left hand side as you head from Redmond towards Fall City, right after the intersection where East Lake Sammamish crosses. Said another way, if you come north on East Lk Sam, when it hits Red/Fall City road, turn right, and they are tucked back in immediately on the left.

If you're not doing anything on Sunday and want to drive a while, you can come by the Cornelius Pass Roadhouse out west of Portland. (Hillsboro area, just off Hwy 26 at Cornelius Pass Road.) Noon on Sunday.

What's going on? Just a few things.

1) Eating.
2) Drinking. (Yup, they got good beer allright!!!)
3) BSing about 914 and other subjects.

Only a couple of people have responded as yet... Oh well, so it'll be a small but fun group!

I'm also going to go check out John Kelly's flares in progress on Friday. John - where are you located? Any ghias in the shop/garage?
