Relay Board Covers

I just got a relay board cover off of e-bay and even though the ad said "Fits all 914's" it doesnt fit my '76. It is an "early version". Does anybody know at what point the covers changed. This particular one is too tall in the front and hits the firewall. I understand the later model covers have a sloping front. Check the "Parts for Sale" board if you could use this "early version" relay board cover.

Mine does the same thing but I found if I pushed it into the firewall a little bit and lower the back part of the cover (that's pointed towards the back of the car) it slips right on. I don't know if there is a difference between years and their covers.

The differance in the relay board cover came when the factory installed retractable seat belts. The slope in the front of the later one's is to clear the mounting point for the retractable seat belts.
