Oil Screen/Tuna Can

The instructions for the Tuna Can oil pickup say the oil screen is not required.
It seems to me the oil screen is the first line of defence if any thing gets into the oil.
I have a stock 2.0 that will be used on the track and hoped the Tuna Can would help any oil pickup problem I may have on sweeping turns.
The Windage tray is in place.
I hate to loose the Oil screen.
Comments???

Merry Christmas,

Ken

The extension to the oil pump pickup tube will not fit the screen. I decided that, if I had stuff in my oil pan large enough for the screen to stop, I was past saving anyway. And figured that putting air into the oil system instead of oil was the bigger risk.

I run the tuna can. I just remember to (try to) be careful on speed bumps and other pavement irregularities.
