1.8 heads on a big bore

I am in the process of getting my big bore engine to the machine shop. I am going to take the heads to them as well. With a displacement around 2.2, I am going to use 1.8L heads and was wondering what recommendations any of you might have for the best performance mods to the heads that I could have the machine shop perform. This is going to be a street motor, webers, external oil cooler, MSD CD ignition. 050 dizzy, etc. I'm just not real up on what the best way to go is when setting up 1.8 heads for a big bore motor and I am willing to pay whatever I need to to get them done right the first time. Bigger valves? polished? They are going to match port the heads to the intakes as well and polish the intakes. Any ideas? TIA..peter

If your gonna pay whatever it takes...why not just buy 2.0 head$

I'd like to do a big bore on mine but I'll probably keep the 1.8 heads. They are pretty good as is I think.

Griznant had some pics of his 1.7 heads done by flowmasters in a recent thread. you should do something similar.

From what I see, the exhaust port is the most restrictive, and will need porting and larger valves, depending on how radical you want to go.
