Dave,
Very nice! What size wheels and tires are you using? Offset, backspace, spacers? Also, how is the storm damaged Europa doing? Mike |

Thanks guys. Not my factory, Mike Galloway's. (Mike's 914s in Oshawa, near Toronto, Canada 905-922-8987) The car you can just see behind mine is a customer's really clean '74 2.0 he did two years ago, (currently for sale) and you should see the car beside mine - beautiful silver nut and bolt resto. Very clean shell, 16" fuchs, 911 brakes F&R, mild flaring of stock rear fenders. Just being reassembled now and readied for a 2.7/915 power train. In another building, he's got a 914/6 that looks like mine but with fuchs and a euro 3.0/6 plus a a mint '74 2.0 'creamsicle' LE as well - his own cars- waiting to be finished. More like a candy store than a factory!
The poor Europa is bruised and sulking under a tarp now, the chassis leaning against my house, the very cool Gordini engine in pieces in my shop, 45DHLAs in transit somewhere. Haven't faced it since if flipped. Thanks for asking though. Those wheels are 15X8" mahle BBS wheels all round, no spacers. they were made for a local guy's 914 track car and I believe that they have the standard 914/911 backspacing. No clearance issues that I've yet been able to see and they appear to fill the flares very nicely. (rear hasn't been aligned yet.) I don't think I could fit anything wider on the rear. Tires are Dunlop SP8000, 245/50 all round. I'll post some more pics and a great big thanks to the guys here in a few weeks when the car is done. Regards, Dave.

Dave, How does the steering feel with those 245/50's on 8" wheels on the front? Is it really heavy?

Maf:
I was worried about that as it might deter my wife from driving the car.... So far as i can tell, surprisingly light, but the car isn't together yet, gas tank isn't full, no engine no spare, no passengers, so the jury remains out. Will report later...
