I agree LOL!
I've seen some big butted cars but this one has got the biggest butt so far.
The add says it's a 914-6.... where is it? Looks like this one needs to stay in Hollywood! with the rest of the fantasies

I would not like to know that this was an original 6. The VIN # does not match a 914's numbers. What some silly people will do with too much time and too much money.

Where is the fuzzy dice???

Heh, the bidder's ID is "cashlady".

It looks like they took the "original 914-6" out of the item description--I think some 914 fan pointed out to them that they were mistaken on that front.

One of the guys on the 914 Rennlist email list knows that car. I think a friend of his worked at a shop that worked on the car? Anyway, the rear end is evidently about 3/4 made out of Bondo. And supposedly the car, in real life, is not nearly as "nice" as it looks in the pictures...

Gee, look at what the Cayenne Design Team built in their spare time!!!!!

Was Porsche purchased by GM when I wasn't looking?

You all will be sorry then.

I've seen that car, my friend Alex had it in his shop a while back. He said the guy has had the car for years and has probably spent over 60k over the years. Looks like it has a new paint job on it. But man that thing is just as Ugly in person as it is in those pictures.
Ha Ha.

The saddest part is knowing what was invested in time and money and it ended up looking like that. If you had spent $60K...what would you want it to look like when all was said and done?

anything but this....

Hopefully the new owner will have that soft spot that this poor car needs (someone to love it). Another reason to buy and use a car cover...
I do like the 911 dash though...

Is it actually based on a 914? I don't see how it's getting cooling air to the engine, but maybe I'm missing something.

Then again, I can't actually see one part of it that makes me say "Hey, they made that from a 914."

Later,

G

I would say that the door jamb latch may be 914. the ugly carpeted foot panel under the pedals looks like it could be 914. Since there are not any pics of the engine bay or front trunk who knows what lurks beneath. How about a worn out 1.7 that leaks oil from one end to the other. Should push that overwieght bondo boat to something less than my "K" car..

I hear it's a 2.7 six-cylinder 911 engine. Not sure if it has carbs or CIS.
