Northeast Bodyshops?

Hi all ,
Anyone know of a good body shop that is willing to allow the customer do the mundane work (disassembly) but still do an excellent job? Ideally this shop is near Boston but could go farther if the price was right. My car only has surface rust in a couple of places but I want to take care of it now before things get worse (ie strip down to bare metal and repaint).

I have no idea but Mikes Auto body in Malden helped me out pretty well a few years ago with a windshield. Mike has/had a 914 race car and does lots of Porsches. At least he may be able to give you some direction on how to approach your car.

Yup, talk to Mike, he seems to be willing to work with a customer. I talked with him about my project a bit at this years holiday party.

BTW, I'm trying to plan a rennlist (and probably Pelican BBS) get together at F1 Boston in a few weeks or so. It will mostly be a beer night kinda thing with racing optional. Just a heads up.

Cool. Never been to F1 but heard it was fun. Besides I'm always interested in an additional drinking opportunity.
