Thumbs up The fabric arrived for the Alien YA Babe...Yaaaa..

I rolled it out on the table and couldn't resist the place settings. This is a rare and hard to get fabric for the early 928's. My friend used to have a Silver Shark with this fabric. We called it his Pink Floyd Interior. Quite fitting I must say. Does it make you randy?

Is this going on the seat inserts, doors & ????. I think it would look cool.
I did upholstery with my Dad for a few years. When in Hollywood a guy wanted his 58 Vette interior done in pink & red. Seats, door panels, dash, carpets... everything. Diamond button tuft no less. I wished I had a picture of it. T'was beautiful after my Dad designed a pattern so the pink & red would mesh artfully. The Vette was white....

I'm spending money like crazy lately. That fabric was $ 155.00 lbs.! You do the conversion to dollars. The fabric is for the inserts only.
Hey MikeZ, I finished the oil pan. I'm planning on having it out this summer. I'm looking for a big gathering after the Barber dave thing in August. I'd even consider driving out to the Coasts.

Rich -
May I ask where you found that material? Isn't that also the fabric that they refer to as "op-art" that was original to the 916's that were not full leather on the door panels? I have been looking for that forever! Congrats - that is AWESOME!

Groovy fabric! Didn't the go-go dancers on "Laugh-In" wear that stuff?

Scott Schroeder, I'm not sure about the 916 matchup. Where can we find an interior photo to check? That's interesting...
This fabric is referred to as "Pasha" (coool name) It came originally in a serveral colors. It's becoming increasingly harder to get. I wanted Black/White but it's out of stock. Not sure if there will ever be anymore. I ended up with Black/Silver Grey. I ordered 2 metres of the fabric from Southbound trimmers in the UK. I don't have there address. The invoice didn't even have one. But you can email David Nunn at southbound@ukgateway.net Nice guy, With a email inquiry he sent out a sample and a pricelist right away. I tried to order over the phone but I never could get a live person. email worked the best.

If memory serves me well (and fewer synapses seem to be firing these days) the silver Brumos owned 916 featured in Road & Track years ago had "groovy" paisley pattern seat fabric. If I think of it I'll check my auto book library and see if that road test article was reprinted in the Brookland's 914 Collection.
