turn signal work when headlights off but not on. only on drivers
 

My left turn signal will not work when headlight switch is turn on. The right side works fine. Both sides will work on hazards and when the headlight switch is off. But once the headlight switch is turn on the drivers side signal just stays on and does not blink. The passenger side does blink .
One more thing to add. When the headlights are on and I turn on the hazard the signals almost seem to alternate on flashing.
Is this a bad flasher relay or headlight switch, or just something all together different.
I didnt think this would be a flasher relay probelm as it works when headlight switch is off maybe a bad wire.
Either way I need some assistance

You have a left rear or left front turn signal wire interchanged with a parking light wire. That is, your headlight switch, emergency flasher and turn signal switch are not the problem. Look in the left front or rear lamp assembly for an interchaged wire.
