Actually, I kinda like this feature. There have been times when I asked a technical question in that area and it went unnoticed for a long time (only so many eyes, so many hours).

The only problem is that I don't see where the questioner is being directed to this forum for the answer. So even if we do answer the question, it may not get seen.

Basically, if someone goes to a tech article and clicks "ask a question", the question very often ends up in the forum dedicated to the car model the tech article is for.

I haven't bothered answering because I don't think the question was serious.
