Question Headlamps, emergency flashers, instrument lights not working ?

While reassembling the interior after new paint, I must have shorted some wiring or miss wired the seat belt relay on the passenger side. I have the technical manual and large scale wiring schematic, but I really need a photo or simple diagram for that seat belt relay. I don't care about hooking up the seat belts light or buzzer, but I think the dash lights and headlamps, etc. go through that relay. Any help out there with those diagrams?

Thanks.
Dan

I don't think your issues are caused by the seatbelt relay wiring.

Courtesy of Jeff Bowlsby's Tech Notebook site:

Nothing except the starter signal goes through the relay, so it is unlikely to be your problem.

No common ground in relay?

Dave, is there a common ground that goes from the relay to the instruments, headlights, etc.? I thought that the wiring harness diagram in the Porsche manuals shows one, but I'm a neanderthal with wiring.

Thanks,
Dan

Up above the fuse panel is the ground for most of the instruments. The headlights ground on separate lugs, one in each fender. I forget exactly where, though.
