Carpet Kits
I got such good response on my "I need warm air" post I thought I would try another. I have been working on the 76 and it's getting nicer and nicer. I need new carpets and have been shopping around. Does anyone have any vendors or specific carpet horror stories. It seems the prices vary from about $195.00
to $400 for a complete kit. Any suggestions, Tips ? Thanks Neal |

Pelican sells carpet too. I don't know whose kit it is, but one of the sales guys might be able to provide more details about the quality etc.
I used an Autos International kit in my last teener, and it was very nice. Around $200-ish. World Upholstery also has a solid reputation and prices are comparable between those two suppliers.

Call pelican, I'm sure what they have is Quality.
Stay away from Auto Atlanta's, I had one purchased for me as a gift from my Dad. The kit was not bad at all really but it took them three (3!) months to get all of it to me. They told me the reason it was taking so long was because it was being MADE IN GERMANY. Yippee, they told me it would be two weeks tops when I called them about what was missing. Lame, I never told Dad I had trouble getting the whole thing from them...

I've gotten that "it has to be made in Germany" line before........took all I had to restrain from saying (yelling) "do you realize that I can very likely walk across the street right this second and buy a loaf of bread that was made from wheat that was growing in Kansas last week, salt that was biding it's time in an Eastern Block cave a couple days ago, and an egg that was still in a chicken's butt in France yesterday???.......don't give me that ohhhh so far away bull....".
Sorry. I'm done. It annoyed me.

so does it matter if its made in germany or somewhere in the US? I'm sure there's somewhere in the US that makes it.
