When is the time frame for running? Have to wait til the snow to melt or do have heat in the garage?
|
I started the slab heat in the new hobby shop about 3 weeks ago. It's been so cold with little to no snow to insulate the ground it took about two weeks to thaw the frost out from around the shop. I have a warm floor. I'm still working the bugs out of the hot water heating thing. But I can work out there now. I am hoping to have the thing going for summer. I'm making some progress now. (didn't say which summer) Just keep lookin in your rear view mirror..........

Rich,
This is one smokin 914! I don't know how you can contain yourself all this time you've been working on it. Are your flares steel or glass, and where they on there already or did you do the work? How did it go? Thanks, |
I've had many delays and setbacks. But that's the way it goes. If it were still my job and not a hobby I would have finished it long ago. (homer simpson voice) Stupid job! I sit and think all day now. It hurts my head. I finished the car in my mind several time.... LOL Most of the story is on the old out of date web site. I bought a stock white California car that barely ran and towed it 150 miles home with a tow strap behind my BMW 2002. (the things we do when were young sheees..) I changed the bolt pattern, added 15" X8" fuch copies and the glas flares before I ever drove the car. I was so disappointed with the power output of the 1.7 I barely drove it. It sat in the yard for a few too many winters and needs some repairs now. But the body work is the least of my concerns. Nice to finally have heat in the new hobby shop. Thanks for the encouragement. I'll keep you posted.
