Alternator warning light
 
I just changed the battery in my 1970 914-6. Now my alternator warning light comes on and stays on when the key is removed. Goes out and stays out when car is started. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

Hello and welcome to the forum! Take a look at the link below to a DIY tech article from our site on the alternator. The tech article talks about the causes as to why the light would stay on. Hope it helps you troubleshoot the issue.

One or more of the diodes in the alternator is dead.
