Fuel injector compatibility

I'm going to be doing some major work on my 924s which requires me to have the fuel rail out. While I have the rail out I want to replace the injectors but I'm not sure if what I'm looking at buying will properly fit. My local auto parts store sells these injectors that are listed as being compatible with the 1st gen 944's (Standard Motor Products FJ11 multi port injector). I assume the injectors on my car are the same as what's in the older 944? What's holding me back is the configuration of the new injector. There is no pintle cap on these ones like on the originals and the shape is a bit different. What do you guys think?

Look for other options. I got a set of more modern injectors. They have a pintle cap but under the cap there are 4 micro holes instead of a single large jet. Accordingly they atomize fuel better.

Most likely disc-type end. Better control and atomization.

More important is impedance and flow-rate matches original.

So the type of injector end doesn't matter as long as flow rate and impedance are the same. Is there any difference in the early 944 injectors versus what I have?

Injectors

The main criteria is the resistance value so as not to damage the DME if your looking at upgrading the performance in anyway you can use Porsche Carrera 3.6 injectors flow rate + 9% and as a bonus lower resistance.

What is flow rate of Carrera 3.6 injectors?
What is lower resistance on these injectors?
What effect does lower resistance have on current draw on DME?

injectors aren't made in lower resistance than what a 944 NA came with originally (2-4-2.8 ohms)...they ARE low resistance.

there's no point to upping the fuel flow by 9% unless you've got a chip to account for that...otherwise your poor car will be eating gas for no reason or benefit.

now if you need a chip im sure DANNO can help..
