Open source 3d printed shift damper/bushing
A while ago, I replaced my worn out factory shifter with an Only944 shifter. The problem is that it's a seeny bit smaller, so my shifter was really wobbly on the old stock bushings. Personally, I like a very firm shifter, so I didn't think rubber was up to the task anyhow, so I decided to print my own. Ended up only doing the lower dampener as that's where most of the play was, and it's good and firm with just that and the factory upper dampener.
I put it out on Thingiverse if anyone wants to use the design, however there are a lot of caveats - it's designed for my car and my printer so will require some tweaking to make it work for you, and it's a really rough OpenSCAD + 123D design. Pics/Design/Installation info on Thingiverse. |
Nice! Thanks. :)
