I'm getting a noise in the wiper linkage (wipers running). It's a knocking or thumping sound that seems to be coming from under the base of the windshield between the wipers. I lubed the joints at the end of the short shaft off the motor and that didn't stop the noise. If the problem is with the long arm between wipers, how do I lube the joints at the ends of that arm? Or, could this be other than a lube problem? Ideas? Suggestions?

There are a couple of pivot points on the linkage under the front of the windshield. My advice would be to remove the entire assembly and see if any of the pivots are worn out. If so, lubing might be a temporary solution, but it will have to be replaced eventually.

Or some component may be loose and clunking around when operational as in a component may be moving when it t should be better secured. Maybe the motor itself is loose to the point if moving.

Thanks for the suggestion. The motor is secure and runs smoothly and quietly. If something is loose, it isn't in any of the linkage that's visible. I'll have to find out how to access the long arm under the base of the windshield.
