968 rear suspenstion / arms - refresh with new bushing

Hi

I want to to a full refresh for the front and rear suspension

I want to avoid the polybush like powerflex to avoid squeaking and the uniball as it's not a dedicated track car.


for the front arm I get rubber bushes upgraded with higher shore ... so it's perfect


I'm looking to do a refresh for the rear :

- I will use only for the trailing arm a monoball cartridge set

- I will renew another bush as well

question comes to the spring plate bushing

I do not want the polybronze solution (too harsh) and not maintenance free

I'm looking for the elephant racing spring plate bushing set but I'm afraid of a squeaking noise after a few month


can you tell me if it's a silent and durable solution and I will not have a squeaking noise

or after a few month it will comes

if so what is the best solution ?

the rubber spring plate bushings that chuck sells (elephant) do not squeak if installed properly.
They are super glued to the spring plate and it helps to preload the arm as the carrier is installed. A 6" length of all thread helps the installation.

as far as the rear pinnings, you might also do the carrier bushings and fill the transmission hanger and 'silentblock' banana arm mounts with urethane.

you, or your alignment guy, should get the twenty dollar toe tool.

imho, stick with oem (sachs) or non-gas shocks in the rear to retain ride quality.
