Advice for torsion bar / spring setup and 9product spring plate bushing installation
Hi
I have a "funny" setup on my 924 turbo: front and rear from a 968 so for the front I rebuild the suspension using H&R spring 29875 VA (sport model) regarding the original 160 lbs I can imagine +20% so arround 200 lbs with H&R for the rear I have 26mm torsion bar regarding other post it seems 26mm fit well with 200 lbs front spring do you agree ? 9products: I bought a set of spring plate bushing from 9products it's not rubber but kind of hard plastic / polygraphite I think How do you install them ? do I need to glue ? I see some post and guys need to sand them to adjust the diameter and fit properly I would appreciate some advice thanks |

i have the 200# front springs with 26mm torsion bars and i think it's great, very sharp handling but i would NOT go any stiffer for a street car as it is not very forgiving of pot holes and rough surfaces.
i replaced all my bushings with new rubber so if you use the plastic ones your ride may be a little harder. |
