Lightened flywheel, and cup clutches
I have decided to replace my clutch starting next weekend. I am going to take a week off from work and just get it done. After all I have all the tools and have done it before.
So, now that I am going to be in there what are the pros and cons of reduced weight flywheels? Next, I have heard good and bad on the cup clutches, good in performance, but bad in the fact they don't seem to enguage as well. Anyone have one?

Pros and cons eh? well it will rev faster meaning more power to the ground quicker, but also deaccelerate faster since there will be less weight/momentum, might have your foot in it a little more when cruising, but with just a lightened one it's not as noticeable. I personally think the +'s outweigh the neg's, because you haven't weighed in the "FUN" factor which weighs a ton. If interested in one, I have an extra that I'd like to part with.
In regards to the cup clutch, the difference is in the disc, so your pedal feel will be the same. Of all the performance clutches out there this will be the only one with a min. difference of feel over stock. The disc grabs better so yes it will not have the orig. feel, especially with an old used stock disc. The mods you are thinking about making are noticeable improvements but nothing like throwing on a set of 500lb springs or anything like that, you'll be happy. |

Already have the springs.
I am running out of mods so I thought this would be a good one. Sounds like it is. I wll PM you for the price on the flywheel.
