Sticking clutch

Two mornings ago I got in my 87 944 to go to work, as I released the clutch it failed to pop back all the way. It used to pop back and be level with my brake pedal but now it gets stuck halfway. It grabs the gears fine but somethings gotta be wrong. Any hints would be appreciated.

Problem could be associated with your clutch pedal adjustment leakage behind the pedal which is adjustable...otherwise the slave cylinder (located near the starter) may be malfunctioning but that would adversely affect the hydraulics....just a thought...
