Clutch
I was just wondering how hard your guys clutches were. Today my brother parked infront of the garage so I hadda move his shelby daytona and put my car in the garage (my car gets the garage cuz it has a better paint job har har!). Anyways I hopped in and pushed down on the clutch and I was like DAMNN. I almost got a work out from just turning the car around and putting it down the driveway. Compared to my 944 his clutch was extremely stiff. I asked him why and he said it was because his car was more powerful and it needs a harder clutch. But anywho Im just wondering what your clutches are like. All the other standard cars Ive driven had clutches around the stiffness of my Porsche. (Mitsubishi Mirage, Ford Ranger, Mazda 626, Acura CL, Geo Prizm, Ferrari F50 ..jk) I like his clutch better though because it seems more smooth and it just feels better.

Is his clutch hydraulic? If its not, then thats probably why it was so stiff. I love my clutch feel, nice and light, and can shift like crazy

If you can bend enough to look under the dash of the 944 you will see this great big helper spring so you don't break your leg pushing in the clutch!!!
Yes your clutch could be just as hard to press as the Shelby. But why should you be forced to have one leg bigger than the other? For once Porsche engineers got something right! The 944 is a road racing car not a dragster. But since you want that muscle car feel and chose to ignore limited production design you might as well take off the spring.

The cable clutch on my 914 is stiffer than the clutch on the 924S, and the 924S has a good bit more power than the 914.
 A hydraulic clutch takes advantage of hydraulic principles which means that it will multiply pedal force better. So you can have good clamping force without excessive pedal stiffness. Aaron

uhmmm I find the clutch on my 944 lighter than on my 951....
but the Mustang is heavier than both.....

Its not the dertimned by the power of the engine. Its determined by the design. You could probably design a clutch that would operate from a push button on the dash if you wanted. The question is does it work properly. The Shelby is a manual clutch and probably has a much larger pressure plate.

His Shelby is a RAT!!.. his clutch has the Classic hotrod feeling clutch.. reminds me of my 69 Camaro RS......
He has a complex about your car.. On the otherhand. THat was an interesting adventure for Dodge.. Lee Iacocca was reincenting the Wheel, Er van.. so he offered a polar opposite to the Town and country... when they first came out it seemed that they were "different" than what was being offered by American Manufacturers, like the Grand National, Firebird Trans AM, Hurst Olds.... So, it was sort of a hit with the Mazda Cross over crowd... they look prettty bad now compared to the NIssan Z series cars and the RX7's and the 944 series cars, but they did fit in.......
