Help 1985 944 DME testing in CT
I have a 1985 (10/84 build date) that a few months ago just stopped running while driving. The car ran perfect for months and then just died on day during back road normal driving. I changed many of the typical items, RPM sensors, DME relay and others. At this point I have three stock computers and wondering if there is anyone in the CT area that has a 83-85 944 car they would be willing to test my stock DME's on. I have the unit out of the car and then two others both rebuild years ago an no history with. I am just trying to make sure my DME's are ok and take that out of the equation. I am pulling my hair out at this point wondering what else it could be. I live in Tolland, CT so even edge of Mass would work. Hope someone is willing to help out.

Take a look at terminals inside distributor cap. Also rotor.
Get copy of "DME test plan" and follow every single test in order. Last edited by DannoXYZ; 03-04-2019 at 02:15 AM.. |

I'm near Boston, so not that close, but if you ship me your DME's, I'll try them all on my 85.1. PM if interested.
