Front sway bar bushings keep falling out

I've been having some trouble with the 2 outer sway bar bushings ever since I replaced them. Whenever I have the car off the ground these bushings separate from the housings and most of the time one side will fall back into place but not the other. I don't know if this was an installation error on my part or if I just have a pair of bad bushings. What do you guys think? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ee88094c6a.jpg

bad bushings. replace them

Just curious if you recall what brand they are? They seem to be too loose/small if they can move within the mount to come out like that. Thanks, that may help others choose the right vendor.

The outer bushings would be the ones bolted under the A-arms and, so I assume that you mean the "other" outer bushings along the front straight portion of the bar. These bushings can be softened and swollen over time by engine oil leaks and power steering fluid leaks from the steering rack, mqking it easy for them to slip out. Replacement is the answer.

Febi 171411314A. It amazes me how these are able to come out so easily as they are extremely difficult to press into the mounts. I got new ones today though and they seem to be a lot stiffer then the febi ones.

I don’t know if this is even possible but PET shows a different bracket for each side of the car for that bush, could you have fitted them on the wrong side and would that cause a misalignment issue that would twist the bush out.

George is right, they look bad.

Also helps to lube swaybar end with silicone grease where it goes through bushing.
