Correct Running Temp

What should my temp gage read on an early 944? One for my cars runs half way or straight up. The other runs about halfway between the first and second mark.
What is the correct thermostat and fan switch temps?
Thanks Mike

The early 944's should run about halfway. As soon as the needle goes just over the halfway mark, it should drop to between the first mark and halfway. There is a thermoswitch available to let it run a bit cooler, then it should stay just over the first (1/4) mark.
