No-Start Related To Factory Alarm Issue?
 

Have reconnected my battery and have a no-start as earlier described...and am just wondering if this is related to the factory alarm system.

I know that the the P.O. replaced the battery within the last year, but I don't know the status of the factory alarm system.

Is it possible that the alarm system was not properly disabled before the battery was replaced?

Later I will check the alarm module as per the Clarks Garage writeup, but in the meantime any extra perspective on this would be great. Thanks!

Someone mentioned in your other thread that the alarm cuts power to the DME. If that is happening, you wouldn’t be getting the tach bounce that you mentioned.

Have you tried plugging in a jumper wire to the fuel pump relay connections to make sure the pump runs? You'll be able to hear it.

Have you tried testing for a spark? You should be able to get a spark tester at your local auto parts place. That will eliminate a lot of stuff from your testing.
