Rear trunk switch removal

Looking for the best way to remove rear trunk switch located by the hood release pull on a 1986 944. Need to test and dont want to break. Any help would be appreciated.

looks like a release tab on top and bottom. I would try a flat blade and pry it out from the bottom.
