Rough roads

Lately I have had to drive one of my "nice" cars to work as my 944 daily driver dropped the tranny. The local public works department has obviously not sent their staff to Germany for any roadwork training. I wonder if there is any way to minimize the impact to the cars suspension under such conditions? the car has Koni's and 16 inch wheels and you feel every bump. And there are plenty of really jarring bumps.
