Question Can I put 16" Fuchs on my 85.5 944?

I currently have 15' Phone Dials on my 85.5 944 and its time for some new tread and a friend has offered me a set of 16" Fuch rims. The numbers inside them is:
911 361 020 44 and they are 7X16s..

Can these just bolt right up with out spacers? and is it worth moving to 16"?

Thanks!!!

Some Fuch's have a 911 offset, the ones you need to get are the ones from the 1986 951. I believe the factory 16" Fuch wheels were 7" fronts and 8" rears. I don't know part numbers, but I bet the ones your looking at are 911 wheels, not 944 wheels. They would require expensive spacers that add to the weight of the wheels, kinda defeating the purpose of those lightweight gems.

I think a major upgrade for these cars is having the 16" Fuchs with 7" fronts and 8" rears shod with 225/50/16 front and 245/45/16 rear. That adds a good amount of rubber to the road over the 15"ers 215 width, and maintains a good balance in the corners.

I'm not sure I would go to 225's all the way around on 7" rims unless the wheels were really inexpensive and didn't require spacers. 16x8 Fuchs are usually more pricey than the 7" ones ... alot of people loves those wheels for track cars.
