Ceramic coated paint

Has anyone had their car coated with this new type of paint protection?
My brother is spending about $1500 to have his new F350 SD truck ceramic coated and was thinking about having my 944 done. Has anyone had good luck with it. And can it be done myself

I have had three cars coated with CQuartz. Two with the consumer version I bought from Amazon and one with Pro version which must be installed by a pro detailer as consumers cannot buy the pro version. FWIU the biggest difference in pro vs consumer is Pro is harder and lasts longer. You can get consumer from Amazon for under $100.

I went with consumer for my recently acquired 944 Turbo but had the paint professionally polished first at a cost of ~$499

I HIGHLY recommend either, shine pops so much more and wow oh wow is the paint smooth and easy to wash !

Using consumer version is very very easy to do.

on topic, I've been meaning to get my wifes car ceramic coated as its only a few years old and the paint is still almost pristine.
