				Help: my oil guage/light inoperable

So electrical is not my strong suit. The car only has 59k on it and was in great shape when I bought it. The oil pressure guage on the center dash did not work (occasionally twitched) and the oil pressure light in front of the driver on the guage remain lit. I purchased a new sender from Pelican and it did not help. Figuring the new sender was bad, I returned it and bought the better sender - a Porsche factory part from Pelican. (Thanks Pelican for the great return policy, BTW). Still no love.

So, what should I do or check at this point? I'm positive the new sender is correctly hooked up. Step by step instructions would be stellar as I totally suck at electrical as mentioned. Thanks in advance! Doug

Thanks for the link. Unfortunately, all this Clark's link shows is "test the sender" and replace it if the test is successful. Since I've replaced the sender (twice), I'm looking for other wisdom on these 35 year old vehicles.

Hmmm, I guess that when I saw the section marked "Oil Pressure Gauge Testing" I figured it was for a method of testing the oil pressure gauge. Oh, wait, I was right. The method for testing the gauge is in that section.
