front badge

Does any one know how to remove the front valance panel badge (emblem)? The car gets painted next week, and I can't figure how to get the old one off to replace it. Thanks in advance.

I forgot to say that it's on an early 85 944.

Pry it off with a small screw driver. It is held on by two pins on the back of the badge that go into two plastic sleevs in the panal.

The kit has 4 pieces, the badge itself, the gasket and two round parts filled with "something". Does heat soften the "something"? (It's winter here in Chicago and I'm just wondering if getting out the heat gun and warming this stuff to 90+ degrees or so would be a good idea before attempting to push the pins into the holders...
