Any Roof Rack Options?

While there seem to be a number of "universal" roof rack systems available for most vehicles - I cannot find one specified as being compatible with a 944.

Nor can I find anything used...anywhere.

Anyone have any luck with this? Thanks!

Check out a couple links below. Apparently there is an OEM one, but it's very difficult to find. Members have said that generally the 'universal' ones work if you get specific clips.

Yeah, I transferred my Yakima system from Supra to 944 by getting new feet. Was able to retain crossbars and all attachments for bikes, skis and surfboards.

Yakima does one but it’s not on their website as it’s custom made from several of their components. You’ll have to call and ask them to make you a kit.

oof, I don't like that Yakima at all.
the drip rails it grabs onto are barely held on by a handful of Sheetmetal clips.

the OEM ski rack does exist and they're out there, I've had 1 or 2 over the years, be a great thing to reproduce if possible. they bolt onto the rear bumper and one of the hatch hinges.

I have version 1 of this type I could get measurements done off. By version 1 I mean the 924/early 944 version. The version 2 style looks a bit better but can't find any photos of it.

Version 2 has better designed foam lined clamps for the skis iirc which are also a bit more stylish.

I just checked my PMs, I got them on RL from 'Sydneyman' in South Carolina in Feb 2011
