A new edition...
We just bought a late 85 944..Automatic(he doesnt like stick) with 120000 miles,new Wpump,newbelts, professinally serviced, and completely sound mechanically for 1500..it needs body work though....
Here are some pics    I can prolly get it done for about 1500... So 3gs and a little elbow grease for a nice 944...not bad I say.. Oh yeah and this guy we bought it from just bought a sweet 968 in royal BLUE!!!!!!!

I sold my 944 for $2150. I couldn't start telling you every mod it had, didn't need anything. I had it on sale for months...
Anyway, body was completely straight aside from a dent on the front left fender (not really noticable) and a crack in the front under bumper spoiler (ditto). Checkout my sig. for pictures. Ahmet

Yeah ahmet, I fell in love of your car with the rims and mods....you gave me the idea a ways back to really start doin stuff to the 944 and not be so afraid of the car.....I would have given you that cash for it!!!!!-chrissssss

Im starting to feel like i got ripped off! I bought mine with 134K all new belts, waterpump, clutch and tuneup. Pretty bad front end damage, i bought a new bumper, under spoiler, left headlight assembly and middle panel for it. The left quarter panel is damaged too but can be fixed with bondo. I had to spend 10 hours last week bending the front ends frame so all the panels aligned back. I spent $3100 on it! Did i get ripped!?!?

Well....to make you all feel better, I bought mine about 1.5 years ago, with 63K miles, all service records since new, all original- including paint, color-matched Fuchs, perfect interior, etc. Paid $5500 for it.
Now it looks like poop. it's been keyed, been in a fender-bender (not my fault, but insurance company screwed me), has a dent from where i hopped a curb (my stupidity), clearcoat has faded off the front wheels due to some bad wheel cleaner my dad used, has 3 dents in the back driver side fender (real eyesore), badly color-matched paint on the driver side front fender (from fender bender), the list goes on....now has 71K miles, but in mechanically flawless condition. Planning to work hard this summer and bring her back to original beauty. Live and learn.

I paid 2200 for mine and it needed a lil bit of loving. Well, about 8 monthes after purchasing it I have over 3750 sitting in it (including when I got ran off the road, still need a rocker panel pulled out) and I'm about to invest more in it. But o well...hopefully I figure out what I want to build soon...the debate is on between the Corolla AE86 and the 951.
BTW-nice deal FTY, I like it. Looks nice, except for the dented parts that is. Good luck with her.
