tape weights
How do I get those tape/glued on lead balance weights off the wheels? Just pull them off and then scrub with gasoline to dissolve the glue stuff? I want to get them cleaned up decent before taking to refinish place. Thanks

Just pry em off with a thick plastic stick or something, then use adhesive remover to get the glue off. Best way for no damage.

When I srtipped my wheels they fell off... so paint remover works well!

Go to the hardware store and buy 2 items:
1-A plastic putty knife with a sharp edge. 2-Some liquid stuff called "Goo Gone" that smells like oranges. Carefully scrape/pry/lift off the weights off with the plastic putty knife. Rub the Goo Gone into the adhesive with a rag until it comes off. Do NOT use brake cleaner or stripper unless you plan on refinishing the wheels.
