Loss of power
I have been having weird problems with my clock and power to my clock and stuff. my clock turns off when I open the passanger door...or if my cigarette lighter is in....which I don't have in. But any ideas. Bad wiring? Not enough power? And the clock will be set and then the next day be about 30mins off? It has an after market alarm system, 5000 dollar after market sterio with the works...no interior lights work either...HELP please =-)

If your problem is simple it is probably just a bad main ground like the one VPKLR was talking about in another thread.
However it sounds like somebody hacked the crap out of your wire harness. My guess is the alarm guy, they have to hack into all sorts of wires and most of them don't know what they are doing. The stereo people usually don't mess with anything but a few power wires, and then run their own stuff for a setup that costs $5000, so it probably wasn't the stereo guy. Anyway you need to get a wire diagram and start tracing wires with a volt meter. It is time consuming but that is the only way unless you want to pay somebody $65+ an hour to do it for you. The first thing I would do is rip out the silly alarm system. That will probably solve your problems IMO, and if you are worried about theft take the coil wire with you when you park the car. |

Thats wierd. I know that when I push my lighter in it blows the clock fuse. I think they r connected though.
