Cooling fans
I just went and got my car again and I have it on campus, damn I can't believe how many people just stare at it
I probably drove it 150 miles today. Ok but here's my question, my cooling fans aren't coming on when they are supposed to, sometimes they will come on, but not always, so to keep my car cool I've been running the ac a bit and then the fans kick in and cool the car down, what do you guys think is wrong?

When was your thermostat last replaced? Assuming that it functions properly, here's what I'd suggest.
Unplug the temperature switch on your radiator. Since you have an early car the plug should have only 2 leads. Use a small wire to connect the leads [grounding the fans] and see if they run properly. If so then it's possible your temp switch is bad. If the fans don't operate when you connect the leads then your fan relay could be having issues. |

Also, before you start trouble shooting, check your fuses. That was a quick fix for me recently
