1988 944S Power Steering Pump Replacement
What is the difficulty level of removing and replacing a power steering pump on a 1988 944S?

Welcome to the forum.
One of the easiest jobs to do on the car but you must also replace the reservoir as that has an integral filter that cannot be cleaned or replaced separately. Be wise to also get a new belt and replace the low-pressure hose between the reservoir and pump wyit.

Is the pump in good enough shape to be re-sealed? Very easy to do this and at a very reasonable cost if so.

Great,thanks for the tips. I have a new reservoir and hose, but will need to pick up a belt. I'm not sure the condition of the pump so I purchased a rebuilt replacement to be sure. Tackling this job in two weeks.
