Squeaking when turning and moving slow?

my '93 968 just keeps getting better and better, now developed a quite loud squeaking noise at low speeds and when i turn the steering slightly to the right when moving...

sounds like its coming from the rear, but i imagine if its when i move the steering it may be from the front.... disappears when i go faster (40-50mph)... it's really starting to annoy me now, just started 3-4 days ago and gradually got worse.... any ideas?

Power steering... i had the same problem. Check the fluid level. If its low then fill it up. Check for leaks in the power steering rack ..look under the rubber covers things to see.

I dont know if a 968 has the drum emergency brakes but the sound you describe happened in two of my cars (924 and 944). I thought maybe a wheel bearing but it was the brake shoe binding and ultimately sheering off in both cases

exhaust may be squeaking?.. rubber bushings are shot maybe?..does your car sound like a whore house at high noon when your driving slow?..,, sort of like an old matress squeaking?..
