Clutch acting funny
I got my car back from my mechanic Tuesday. He replaced the Slave/Master Cylinders for the clutch along with the break resivior. Well a couple days ago my clutch has started to become hard to push. It starts after about 15 min of driving and the clutch becomes built up with pressure and is hard to push down and the harder it is the farther out the clutch lets out. Instead of midway it lets out at the top. When it gets like that I can't shift fast or anything becuase it slips. After it sits over night and I get in it the next it's fine for about 15 minutes and then it gets hard to push down again. Would it be from air being in the lines if he didn't bleed it right? I take it back to him Monday but I was just wondering.

I had the same problem with my clutch. Please make a post after it gets fixed and tell us what the problem was. Thanks

I think I found out what is wrong with it. This is what a Porsche mechanic told me. He said the rod to the clutch master cylinder is adjusted too long. When I depress the cluch pedal it puts extra fluid in the system, in which the fluid cannot return to the reservoir.
If you want more info about I can e-mail it to you. ------------------ Penz 1985.5 944 My 944 page [This message has been edited by Penz944 (edited 07-26-2000).] |
