Vented front panel
I have seen a vented front panel for my 951 on some websites. I was wondering if this pushed any cold air into the compartment or didn't do much of anything. I want to get a Mass Air flow but I have heard a lot of you saying that it would only suck hot air from the engine which isn't a good thing. And I was wondering if this was an alternitive to getting a sorta of pipe from the fender like the original box has to push staight into the mass air flow. If you know of a pipe that is good though that will work too. Thanks for all the help. And anyone know of a good place for just the mass air flow....not a whole kit. Thanx again.

Now that I have my turbo running again, I plan measure the temperature at the air filter. I have a mass flow. Will also measure in the wheel well where the old snorkel used to get it. Stay tuned. Plan to do it this weekend. (Forgot to say when I plan to do it.)

Couldn't you leave the original pipe from venting air into the airbox there to vent air to the mass flow? Sounds like it would work to me.

The vented nosepanel is meant to provide additional colling air to the intercooler. However some folks are using the one from GT racing and cutting another hole where the left front headlight used to to get cool air to their custom intakes.
Of course this doesn't work if you need your headlights. |
