Cat ......no cat? Pipe? WhAT!?

I have come accross enough money now for an exaust. I have an 88 951 and wanted to take out my cat. Now I live in a very small town so air polutition is next to nothing. I think the whole Ozone thing is a big crock anyways. (Yes I have lived in California so don't give me any crap pls). ANYWAYS...I am rambling. I was wonding for the best performance wise. Which is best? A straight pipe.....a high flow cat, or a test pipe? Or maybe something else. Performance for me is numb 1. There are NO inspections in my state so that is not a problem. Thanks for your help in advance! Should be getting it and the end of the week and I'll tell ya what I deside.

if money is no problem...get the complete exhaust system!!..if ur on a mid life crisis..just hallow the cat..if u want to spend money get a testpipe(same as hallowing the cat)if you want ur car to be legit..get the highflow cat...more or less u'll get 9 to 16 extra horses once it is done...and yes u'll feel the difference(turbocharged cars)

I am getting a whole new system. It will be a 3". But I want the most power so I could spend it either on a test pipe or just a straight pipe. And what about a resinator (don't really know what that is). And I doubt a midlife crisis. I'm 17 BUT.......I'll be 18 this Friday!

Taking out the cat should be good enough, in my opinion it's not worth it to get a complete exaust system on a 951, since the factory system is good enough.

On most cars, if you take out the cat, specially if you get a straight through muffler as well, the car would be too loud, so you'd want a resonator somewhere along the way, however, the turbo quiets things down on the 951. It would still be louder, but with MUCH better throttle response, a lot less lag, and about 20 more horsepower...

Hope this helps,
Ahmet
