Is the 85 1/5 relays in the engine bay like the 86? If so I can help you.

Ok, I'm missing G8 but on the cover it says (warning buzer) but I hear the warning buzer coming from G16.

G16 is 928.618.102.03

G9 is 928.615.101.01

thanks i do have the ...102.03 and i put it in its proper home. i think most people take out the warning buzer anyway. it is the set-belt warning. thanks

gong cat buzzer is retarded.. it's really annoying.. take it out and back over it several times to ensure it's been modified properly, then apply appropriate amount of gasoline and ignite.. then your mod will be complete....

Still on the subject of relays.... the DME relay.

Does anyone have problems using the new (993.xxx.xxx) relay on their 86 944 ?

I bought a spare relay the other day and was told the new DME relay (993.xxx.xxx) replaces the old 944.xxx.xxx relay. It works BUT it is taller and I cannot close the fuse box cover - extremely bad since the fuse box is in the engine box and if water gets in .....

So do I have the wrong part or do I need to change the fuse box cover as well ??? Any one experienced this ?

Just because you can't close the cover I woudn't use the new type. Water will short everything in that fuse box.

Cover or spend $$$
